”Wing Scout” Program: In 1994 Juliette Low was honored in the “Forest of Friendship” for her efforts in encouraging girls to participate in the field of aviation. In 1916, only five years after the first American woman earned her pilot’s license and long before Amelia Earhart, the Girl Scouts offered an Aviation badge. And, in 1941, the Wing Scouting program for Senior Girl Scouts began.
