A Night at the Museum

Celebrate IWASM’s 50th Anniversary by experiencing history brought to life on August 21, 2026 from 6:30-10:00pm.

The International Women’s Air & Space Museum’s annual fundraiser gala has been reimagined for the museum’s 50th anniversary in 2026…. “A Night at the Museum” will be a dazzling evening for guests as icons of women’s air & space history intermingle with the crowd and engage in storytelling. Have you ever wanted to ask Sally Ride what it was like to be one of the first woman astronauts of NASA? Or find out who Amelia Earhart would name as her greatest rival? This is your chance. Skilled living historians will share the experiences of Amelia, Sally, and other fearless women on this unforgettable evening.

Plus, learn about the beginnings of the International Women’s Air & Space Museum from the women aviators who started it all. IWASM founders Doris Scott and Nancy Hopkins Tier (as portrayed by local living historians) will share the dream that prompted the founding of IWASM 50 years ago during the evening’s keynote presentation.

As you engage with history, enjoy a variety of local wines from CLE Urban Winery, Debonne Vineyards, and more. Sample the finest hors d’oeuvres, and peruse the silent auction and raffle featuring items from over 30 local businesses.

Proceeds from wine sales, silent auction, and raffle go directly back to the International Women’s Air & Space Museum, and help ensure that the museum’s mission of preserving and bringing women’s air and space history to life continues for 50 years (and more!) to come.

Murder Mystery at the Museum: A Night at the Factory

The International Women’s Air & Space Museum is proud to present its 3rd Annual Murder Mystery at the Museum!

Join IWASM for a fun, interactive evening featuring dinner and a theatrical performance by Roving Rogue Productions! Immerse yourself in the era of the Second World War as women and men around you go about their overnight shift at Fisher Body Plant in Cleveland, Ohio. All is going well during a normal night of manufacturing war planes…until the floor gets shutdown when somebody is found dead. Who committed this atrocious crime? Was it a factory employee? The celebrity visiting to observe the war effort? The reporter? Everyone is a suspect, and only the guests can uncover the true culprit!

Dinner will be catered by Mission Barbeque, and guests can expect a full meal with plenty of butter, meat, and sugar for this special evening (we’ve found a way to work around the ration requirements caused by World War II). Guests are encouraged (but not required) to come decked-out in their best 1940s attire.

Murder Mystery at the Museum is a fundraiser event to benefit the International Women’s Air & Space Museum. This year, a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales and raffle will support updates to our Women in World War II Aviation exhibit, including an interactive component featuring recorded interviews with REAL women who flew during World War II.
Don’t miss this exciting evening!

Date: March 14, 2026. 6pm-9pm.

Dinner With a Slice of History: All About Amelia

Murder Mystery at the Museum: Air Races

May 31st, 2025

Who Did It? A theatrical Dinner Murder Mystery featuring Roving Rogue Productions.

Misty Éire is the undisputed winner of the main race this year at the Cleveland Air Show, and you’re invited to a party to celebrate her win. Pilots, patrons, coaches, and their families will all be in attendance to celebrate, while plotting each other’s downfall in the next race. When tragedy strikes, a guest is murdered amid the festivities, only the guests can investigate to find out who-dun-it. Was it the coach? One of the pilots? The patrons?

Dinner is served at 5:30 as a plated meal catered by Wickliffe’s best kept secret, The Timber Kitchen.

Enjoy a custom menu inspired by popular recipes of the 1920’s, as your tastebuds are transported through time with the flavors of a bygone era.

1920’s Themed Menu:

  • Green Goddess Salad – Lettuce, cucumber, Green Bell peppers, green onion and green grapes with an avocado ranch dressing.
  • Waldorf Salad – Apples, celery, grapes and walnuts with a creamy mayonnaise dressing
  • Shrimp cocktail in martini glasses, with cocktail sauce, and lemon wedges
  • Roast beef in a bourbon gravy with red skin potatoes and roasted green beans
  • OR
  • Chicken Ala King – chicken with a creamy mushroom sauce, or rice (Usually more like a stew, but we serve it as a breaded chicken breast with rice, and add green beans)
  • Ice Box Cake – layered cookies with a cherry filling and whipped cream
  • Pineapple upside down cake
