7th Annual Corks in the Concourse

Harriet Quimby welcomed to France by bystanders after landing in Calais, France

Mark your calendars and make sure you attend our annual wine tasting fundraiser as we bring back Corks in the Concourse on Aug 31, 2012 from 7pm-10pm. This year we will celebrate Harriet Quimby, the first female to cross the English Channel (1912- unfortunately her achievement was over-shadowed by the sinking of the Titanic)! Hors d’oeuvres will represent the English and French take-off and landing sites of her trip. Your ticket will include food, wine samples, souvenir wine glass, live raffle and silent auction. Watch aircraft arrive for the Cleveland National Air Show (including the Blue Angels!), enjoy some good food and have a great time! Period dress is encouraged but not required! Tickets for the event are $55 for museum members, $60 for non-members and $35 for “designated drivers” (no wine or glass included with this ticket). Tickets may be purchased online at here or by calling the museum office at 216-623-1111. Show your support for IWASM and plan on attending this wonderful fundraiser.
