Career Opportunities:

IWASM is now accepting applications for the position of Operations Manager. This individual's primary responsibilities will be divided between communications, development, and education. Communications includes managing the museum’s social media, website, print, and electronic communication platforms. Development includes preparing membership renewals, coordinating with the Executive Director and Board of Trustees on major campaigns, and general member relations. Education includes collaborating with volunteers and fellow staff on k-12+ children’s programming and events in adherence to the IWASM strategic and interpretive plans. This person will be a front-line employee and must be able to embody the community-oriented mission of the organization.

Compensation: This position is part-time, non-exempt. Starting range is $12.00-13.00 per hour for 30-35 hours per week, commensurate with experience.  The IWASM is an equal opportunity employer. Applicants with diverse backgrounds and experiences are strongly encouraged to apply.

Internships Opportunities

The International Women’s Air & Space Museum offers a variety of unpaid internship positions available throughout the year. An internship at IWASM is the perfect way to gain "real world” experience in the museum field. Internships are available at any time during the year and are open to anyone.

Participants are expected to have a professional appearance and attitude, reliable transportation, and a willingness to try new things. Attention to details, an interest in history, and strong communication skills are helpful. Basic computer skills required. We offer flexible scheduling to fit around classes. Occasional evenings and/or weekends may be needed based on the specific internship requested.
