Internships Opportunities:
The International Women’s Air & Space Museum offers a variety of unpaid internship positions available throughout the year. An internship at IWASM is the perfect way to gain "real world” experience in the museum field. Internships are available at any time during the year and are open to anyone.
Participants are expected to have a professional appearance and attitude, reliable transportation, and a willingness to try new things. Attention to details, an interest in history, and strong communication skills are helpful. Basic computer skills required. We offer flexible scheduling to fit around classes. Occasional evenings and/or weekends may be needed based on the specific internship requested.
Internship topics may include:
Archives/Research
Collections
Marketing & Outreach
Development
Special Events
For more information about IWASM internships or questions about specific internship positions contact Executive Director, Sara Fisher, at sfisher@iwasm.org. Anyone interested in interning should send a one-page statement of purpose and an recent C.V. or resume.
Ensuring the Health and Safety of Staff, Interns, and Volunteers
In these unprecedented times, the museum understands and is determined to ensure the health and safety of all those who work, volunteer, and intern with us. It is for this reason that we adopted our IWASM COVID-19 Policy & Procedure which outlines our safety strategies to mitigate any COVID-19 exposure.
