June 18th, 2013- Sally Ride Day:Formerly Known as the Annual Free Rocket Day

June 18th, 2013--thirty years ago on this day, Sally Ride became the first American Woman in space. Join us and our friends from Alphaport, Inc. and NASA for our Annual Free Rocket Day that has now been expanded to celebrate the life and legacy of Sally Ride. Come for all or part of the day, activity times listed below:

Great Lakes Science Center Demonstrates "Rocket Car" and other activities--11:00am-12:00pm
Lunch provided on-site (optional)--$5 for Hot Dog, pop, and bag of chips; families are encouraged to bring their own bag lunches if they prefer!
Rocket Demonstration--1:00pm-2:30pm
Launch your own Rocket--2:45pm-3:15pm
